Yesterday I worked with 8 other corporate magicians in possibly one of the most extravagant events I have ever had the pleasure of working in the UK. The client Martin Baker; is the worlds leading manufacturer of ejector seats, providing over 70’000 ejection seats to 93 air forces around the world. With their technology, they have helped to save the lives of a staggering 7497 pilots worldwide. Click below to see this incredible technology in action!
The event was held at Blenheim Palace, an enormous Palace situated in Woodstock Oxfordshire. It is home to the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. The Palace is a true masterpiece of 18th Century Baroque architecture, with over 2000 acres of beautiful gardens and scenery.
I, along with 8 other Corporate magicians, was hired to entertain the 1200 guests, performing close-up magic in the courtyard as they arrived to a reception of champagne and canapé’s.
There was a slight interruption to our performance when it was suddenly announced that we were about to be joined by none other The Red Arrows, who gave an incredible display involving various unbelievable formation flying.
The Unbelievable displays were enhanced by their signature red, white and blue smoke trails. The amount of skill and precision was unbelievable, as the jets flew towards each other, rolled around and avoid near misses with gasps from the audience. It was truly unbelievable and a hard act to follow!
Later in the evening joined guests in a huge marquee that had been set up to host the dinner, where the guests, all employees of Martin-Baker, were treated to a delicious looking five-course meal.
The stunning palace, beautiful grounds and outstanding entertainment is sure to make this event one that will be remembered by everyone who attended. It is certainly one that I’m proud to have been a part of.
